Ross Lee Finney Collection

A collection of holograph scores for violin, piano, chamber and vocal works by the American composer and educator Ross Lee Finney. Finney’s style was far ranging, from American folk music to complex serial techniques. As a teacher he was particularly gifted, teaching at Smith College and the University of Michigan. One of his students was Roger Reynolds, whose collection may also be found in the Library of Congress Music Division.
