Leopold Godowsky Collection

|| About the Collection ||

Leopold Godowsky (1870-1938) was one of the great piano virtuosos at the turn of the century, who wrote works of such technical difficulty that they have been mastered by few pianists. He was also a great teacher and a prolific composer. The collection contains manuscripts of original compositions by Godowsky, and transcriptions of works by Bach, Schubert, and Weber.
