|| About the Collection ||
Gilbert Miller was active as a theatrical producer in London and New York in the earlier and mid-20th century. He worked with a vast array of major artists and was responsible for bringing plays of noteworthy British and Continental dramatists to New York as well as presenting a number of American plays. His theatrical activities brought him into contact on occasion with Roger L. Stevens, a large body of whose papers the Library holds. Mr. Miller’s theatrical connections are many, as is amply reflected in the correspondence in the Miller collection, which, though small, is very rich in theatrical documentation.
