Jaroslav Pelikan is Sterling Professor of History Emeritus at Yale University. He has authored more than 30 books on the history of theology and cultural matters, including “The Christian Tradition: A History of the Development of Doctrine.” He has received honorary degrees from universities all over the world, as well as medals and awards from many scholarly institutions and societies. He is immediate past president of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences.
