[Carol Spinney] (b. Dec. 26, 1933) (*Sesame Street first aired on Nov. 10, 1969)

Big Bird has been embodied by Caroll Spinney for the past 30 years. One of the original characters from the award-winning “Sesame Street,” launched by the Children’s Television Workshop, Big Bird has delighted children of all ages around the world with his infectious charm and undaunted spirit.
