Ahmet Ertegun cofounded Atlantic Records 48 years ago, a company whose musical releases have had a profound effect on the course of modern music. A principal founder and current chairman of The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Foundation, he was himself inducted into The Hall of Fame for his influence on the history of contemporary music.
