Stephen Jay Gould

Stephen Jay Gould

Awarded: April 2000
(Sept. 10, 1941 - May 20, 2002)

Stephen Jay Gould is a renowned evolutionary biologist and current leading theorist of evolution. The goal of Gould’s research is to develop a better understanding of the organic chemistry that can occur in biological systems, thereby discovering new principles of organic chemistry that can be applied in the laboratory. Currently a professor at Harvard, he is a frequent contributor to professional literature. Books include “Ever Since Darwin: Reflections in Natural History” and “Full House: The Spread of Excellence From Plato To Darwin.”
