Wednesday May 4, 2005 Afternoon Meeting with LC Staff - LM 515 SRD Conference Room This meeting is intended as an informal orientation for representatives who are attending their first CONSER meeting because your institution joined since last May or those who are new representatives for CONSER institutions. Other CONSER meeting attendees who wish to attend this meeting as a refresher are also welcome.

1:45-2:30	National Serials Data Program (Pamela Simpson, NSDP Serials Cataloger)
2:30-3:15	Tour of SRD (Jeffrey Myers-Hayer, Senior Serials Cataloger)
3:15-4:00	Program for Cooperative Cataloging (Anthony Franks, Team Leader)

CPSO: relationship with PCC - focus on CONSER today (by Judy Kuhagen, Senior Cataloging Policy Specialist, CPSO) Contact Judy at jkuh@loc.gov or during the May 5-6 sessions if you have any questions.

Topics of discussion requested so far: SRD workflow (from acquisitions to sending materials out to the public) LC serial copy cataloging procedures Who to contact in SRD if we have questions? What is expected of us in working with PCC? Who to contact in NACO if we have questions? What is SACO workflow? (from when new proposed subjects/classification are submitted to how it's decided to approve or not approve) How do LCSH and LC Classification get updated and where can the updates be found easily? Who do we contact if we have questions? How does LC make cataloging policy decisions? What is the process of getting any LCRI approved? Who makes the decision? Who do we contact if we need to notify LC for errors or changes? (Can we meet the person?) How do LCSH and LC Classification get updated and where can the updates be found easily?
Wednesday Dinner with CONSER Colleagues
6:00-	Join your colleagues for food and conversation at an informal dinner Wednesday night. We will meet in front of the Capitol Hill Suites (200 C Street) at 6:00PM then walk to Tortilla Coast (400 First Street). Please let Hien know if you plan on coming so we can have a rough headcount. NOTE: Jean Hirons will be joining us at this dinner!!
Thursday Afternoon Break with LC Serial Record Division Cataloging Sections
	All are invited to the annual CONSER break with SRD cataloging sections. Come for coffee, teas, refreshments. Meet with SRD catalogers or visit with your LC serial contact persons.
Thursday BIBCO/CONSER Dinner
	This year's BIBCO/CONSER OpCo Meeting Dinner will be held at 6:30 PM on Thursday, May 5, at Aatish on the Hill, a Pakistani restaurant at 609 Pennsylvania Ave., SE. Please respond to Paul Frank (Cooperative Cataloging Team) no later than Thursday, April 28, indicating whether or not you will be able to join us..
