The "Collections Overviews" in this section are brief descriptions of various segments of the Library of Congress' collections, undertaken by Library staff in the summer of 1993. They are intended primarily as internal working documents to help orient staff to the complex, rich, and diverse collections of the Library. It is hoped that the "Overviews" may also be of interest to a wider community of users and potential users of the Library's collections. Comments, queries, and other communications regarding Library of Congress or other institutions' collections are welcomed and may be directed to the following address for forwarding to the appropriate specialist or specialists.
