AZUELA
Antonio
Azuela is the Attorney General for Environmental Protection in the federal
government of Mexico. He holds degrees in law (University of Warwick,
England) and urban planning (Universidad Iberoamericana, Mexico City).
Mr. Azuela is author of La Ciudad, la Propiedad Privada y el Derecho
(The City, Private Property and the Law) (1998), and numerous other
publications on the subject. He has done research on urban issues from
a socio-legal perspective since the late 1970s, focusing on the process
of land regulation and urban planning institutionalization as well as
on setting up the environmental law.
