JOHN M. WALKER

Judge Walker has been a Circuit Judge for the United States Court of Appeals since his appointment by President Bush in 1989. He holds a J.D. from the University of Michigan Law School and practiced law at several firms in New York City. He also served as Assistant United States Attorney, New York, 1970-75; as Assistant Secretary, United States Treasury Department, 1981-85; and as Special Counsel, Administrative Conference of the United States, 1986-89. He was a judge of the United States District Court for the Southern District of New York from 1985 to 1989.
