PAULA
TALLAL
Paula Tallal, a world-recognized authority and leading researcher on
the neurobiological basis of language, is a cognitive neuroscientist
and board-certified clinical psychologist. She is a founder and co-director
of the Center for Molecular and Behavioral Neuroscience at Rutgers University
in Newark, New Jersey, as well as a founder of Scientific Learning Corporation.
Dr. Tallal is an active participant in many scientific advisory boards
and governmental committees and is an international authority on both
developmental language disorders and learning disabilities. Dr. Tallal
has published over 150 scientific articles and books and her work is
widely cited both in scientific journals as well as in the public press.
Dr. Tallal received a bachelor's degree from New York University and
a Ph.D. from Cambridge University, with additional research training
at The Johns Hopkins University.
