Lynne Chaffinch is the Program Manager for the Art Theft Program of the Federal Bureau of Investigation and works at the FBI Headquarters in Washington, D.C. She manages the National Stolen Art File and provides support for agents investigating art theft cases. Ms. Chaffinch received a B.A. in Anthropology from the University of California at Davis and an M.A. in Museum Studies from San Francisco State University. She has held positions in a variety of museums, including the Autry Museum of Western Heritage in Los Angeles, California, and Monticello, the historic home of Thomas Jefferson in Charlottesville, Virginia. Ms. Chaffinch is a member of the American Association of Museums and the International Council of Museums. She has conducted training and made presentations on the topic of art theft for national and international audiences.
