LAURA A. PRICE

Laura A. Price is a partner at KPMG LLP's (KPMG) Washington, D.C., office, where she specializes in providing federal assurance and advisory services to government clients in the Greater Washington Area. Ms. Price, who joined KPMG in 1996, possesses 15 years of experience in public accounting and financial consulting, and is a Certified Public Accountant and a Certified Government Financial Manager. She currently serves as a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), the Maryland Association of Certified Public Accountants, and the Association of Government Accountants (AGA).

Ms. Price recently assisted the Library of Congress in developing and implementing a business risk model for managing the Library's collections, and co-authored a report with the Council on Library and Information Resources titled Managing Assets from a Business Perspective, March 2000.

Ms. Price's professional activities include her role as a member the AGA's Finance and Budget Committee and her position as Newsletter Director for the Montgomery/Prince George's County AGA chapter, a position she has held for the past three years. Ms. Price earned a B.S. in Business Administration/Accounting from Michigan Technological University in 1983, and an M.A. in Organizational Management from George Washington University in 2000.
