Pablo Picasso Etchings and Drypoints

Vingt poèmes de Gongora. Paris: Les Grands Peintres Modernes et le Livres, 1948. 41 eaux-fortes don't 20 hors text par Pablo Picasso. One of 235 copies from a total issue of 275. Bound by Madelaine Gras in full black morocco with blood red morocco inlays outlined with gilt fillets. Binding signed on lower front turnin: Gras. Red suede doublures, all edges gilt, original wrappers bound in. Illustrated with 41 original etchings and drypoints with elaborate etched and engraved frames around each etching by Picasso. The poems are translated from Spanish to French by Z. Milner, with the Spanish text handwritten by Picasso and the French translation printed by Fequet et Baudier. This work is a masterpiece of book design, printing and binding.
