Ron and Natalie Daise

Gullah stories and music from the South Carolina Sea Islands

Well known for bringing South Carolina Sea Islands Gullah culture to national and international television audiences through the Nickelodeon program "Gullah Gullah Island," Ron and Natalie Daise are actors, singers, storytellers, entrepreneurs, craftspersons, songwriters, producers and publishers. Their books, recordings, performances and presentations engage individuals and groups to pursue and achieve their dreams. Their performances, writings and recordings have validated and celebrated the rich history of the Gullah people for numerous audiences for nearly a decade. Ron and Natalie have been awarded South Carolina's prestigious Palmetto and Folk Heritage Awards.
