Author Biography

John Feinstein

John Feinstein is the author of several books that detail events and personalities in sports, including his most recent The Last Amateurs: Play for Glory and Honor in Division I College Basketball (2000). Other books include Season on the Brink: A Year with Bob Knight and the Indiana Hoosiers (1986), Civil War, Army vs. Navy: A Year Inside College Football's Purest Rivalry (1996), The First Coming: Tiger Woods: Master or Martyr (1998) and The Majors: In Pursuit of Golf's Holy Grail (1999). Mr. Feinstein writes regularly for Inside Sports, Golf Magazine, Tennis Magazine and Basketball America. He is also a commentator for National Public Radio and ESPN. He lives in Bethesda, Maryland, and Shelter Island, New York.
