Stephen Harrigan

Stephen Harrigan

Stephen Harrigan, longtime writer for Texas Monthly and many other magazines, is the author of four novels, including the most recent, Gates of the Alamo (Knopf, 2000). His other books are nonfiction and include A Natural State: Essays on Texas (1998), which brings together his writings about rivers, Big Bend, Padre Island and other Texas landmarks. He lives in Austin, Texas.
