Patricia MacLachlan

Patricia MacLachlan

Patricia MacLachlan has written numerous critically acclaimed books for children of all ages, including the 1986 Newbery Medal winner, Sarah Plain and Tall (1985), which later became a popular Hallmark Hall of Fame television movie. Journey (1991) and Baby (1993) were named American Library Association Notable Books and ALA Best Books for Young Adults. Recent books by Ms. MacLachlan are Tomorrow's Wizard (1996) and Caleb's Story (2001). She lives in Williamsburg, Massachusetts.
