Richard Peck

Richard Peck

Richard Peck has written many novels for young readers. He is the winner of the 1990 Margaret A. Edwards Award, sponsored by the Young Adult Library Services Association of the American Library Association; the 1990 National Council of Teachers of English/ALAN Award for outstanding contributions to young adult literature; and the Edgar Award. Long Way from Chicago (2000) won the 1999 Newbery Honor, and A Year Down Yonder (2001) has been awarded the 2001 Newbery Medal. Mr. Peck lives in New York City.
