Edna Buchanan
Edna Buchanan switched from a career as an award-winning crime beat reporter for The Miami Herald to a celebrated writer of mystery novels. She has written 13 novels, many starring the character Britt Montero, a crime reporter for a major Miami newspaper. Ms. Buchanan's latest novel is The Ice Maiden (William Morrow, 2002). She lives in Miami.
