Author Biography

Linda Fairstein

Linda Fairstein

Linda Fairstein was a prosecutor in the office of the New York County District Attorney before becoming bureau chief of Manhattan's Sex Crimes Prosecution Unit for more than two decades. A fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers, she is a graduate of Vassar College and the University of Virginia School of Law. Her first novel, Final Jeopardy (Scribner, 1996) introduced the character Alexandra Cooper who appeared in the next three novels including the most recent The Deadhouse (Scribner, 2001). Ms. Fairstein lives in Manhattan.
