Author Biography

Jim Lehrer

Jim Lehrer

Born in Wichita, Kansas, Jim Lehrer, moved from a newspaper career to public broadcasting and a long-term journalism partnership with Robert MacNeil in the MacNeil/Lehrer NewsHour, now The NewsHour with Jim Lehrer. He is the recipient of the National Humanities Medal, and the George Foster Peabody Broadcast Award. A prolific author, Mr. Lehrer has written two memoirs, three plays, and 13 novels including the most recent, No Certain Rest (Random House, 2002). He lives in Washington, D.C.
