Sandra L. and Myles C. Pinkney

Sandra L. Pinkney and Myles C. Pinkney made their debut as an author/illustrator team with Shades of Black (2000), which won the 2001 NAACP Image Award for Outstanding Children's Literary Work. Their recent book is A Rainbow All Around Me (Cartwheel Books/Scholastic, 2002). Myles Pinkney has also photo-illustrated Can You Imagine? (1997), It's Raining Laughter (1997) and co-illustrated (with his father, Jerry and his brother, Brian) In the Forest of Your Remembrance, which was written by his mother Gloria Jean. Sandra and Myles Pinkney live in Poughkeepsie, New York.
