The newly-named statewide board of advisors for the New York Center for the Book — a distinguished list of librarians, booksellers, publishers, and authors from New York City and throughout the state — will hold its first meeting in conjunction with the event. Publicity for the National Book Festival will be part of the publicity for the event. All of the major New York publishing firms currently supporting the National Book Festival will receive special invitations.
