Esmé Raji Codell

Esmé Raji Codell

Esmé Raji Codell is a children's literature specialist, regular columnist for Five Owls magazine, and runs the children's Web site, www.planetesme.com. She is the recipient of the American Library Association's Alex Award for her book Educating Esmé: Diary of a Teacher's First Year (1999), which has been given to new teachers in school districts throughout the country. Her most recent book is How to Get Your Child to Love Reading: Inspiration and Ideas for Reluctant and Ravenous Readers Alike (Algonquin Books, 2003). She lives in Chicago, Illinois.
