Author Biography

Sharon Creech

Sharon Creech

Sharon Creech's college literature and writing courses and her experiences as a high school English teacher led to a career writing for young people. She has won several awards for her writing including the 1995 Newbery Medal, the 2001 Newbery Award Honor Book, and two Christopher Awards (2001, 2002). Her most recent book is Granny Torelli Makes Soup (Joanna Cotler Books, 2003). She lives in New Jersey.
