Author Biography

J. A. Jance

J. A. Jance

When J. A. Jance was introduced to Frank Baum's Wizard of Oz series in the second grade, she knew she wanted to be a writer. It was many years later before this wish came true with the publication of the first Detective Beaumont book, Until Proven Guilty (1985). She has written more than 15 best-selling J.P. Beaumont mysteries and her most recent book, Exit Wounds (William Morrow, 2003), is the tenth in her Sheriff Joanna Brady series. She lives in Bellevue, Washington.
