Mary Pope Osborne

Mary Pope Osborne

Mary Pope Osborne is the author of more than fifty picture books, early chapter books, middle-grade biographies, and young adult novels. She is best known for Magic Tree House, a series of books in which the characters find a tree house filled with books and the magic of the tree house takes them to places in the books. Her most recent book in the series is Haunted House in Hallows Eve (Random House, 2003). Ms. Osborne, who serves on the board of directors of the Authors Guild, lives in Goshen, Connecticut.
