Author Biography

Susan Power

Susan Power

Susan Power, who received her law degree from Harvard Law School, left a career in law to pursue creative writing. Her fiction has appeared in Atlantic Monthly, Paris Review, and selected for inclusion in The Best American Short Stories. Her first novel, The Grass Dancer (1994), won the PEN/Hemingway Award in 1995. Her most recent book is Roofwalker (Milkweed, 2002). She is an enrolled member of the Standing Rock Sioux tribe (Yanktonnai Dakota) and lives in St. Paul, Minnesota.
