Bob Schieffer

Bob Schieffer

Bob Schieffer was a reporter for the Fort Worth Star-Telegram and a news anchor at a Dallas/Fort Worth television station before joining CBS News in 1969. He is the CBS chief Washington correspondent and since May 1991 has anchored the Sunday public affairs broadcast, Face the Nation. He has won many broadcast news awards, including five Emmys, and was named the 2003 recipient of the Paul White Award, which recognizes an individual's lifetime contribution to electronic journalism. He is the author of This Just In: What I Couldn't Tell You on TV (Putnam, 2003). Mr. Schieffer lives in the District of Columbia.
