Author Biography

Lynn Sherr

Lynn Sherr

Television news correspondent and author Lynn Sherr began her career as a reporter for the Associated Press, worked for television stations in New York and Washington, D.C., then joined ABC News in 1977. Assigned to the news program 20/20, she has won numerous awards, including the George Foster Peabody Award, an Emmy, and two American Women in Radio and Television Commendation Awards. She is author of America the Beautiful: The Stirring True Story Behind Our Nation's Favorite Song (Public Affairs, 2001). She lives in New York City.
