Walter Dean Myers
Walter Dean Myers has drawn on his own background and interests to produce more than seventy books for young people. For his work he has received many awards and honors, including two Newbery Honor Book Awards, five Coretta Scott King Awards, the first Michael J. Printz Award, and a Margaret A. Edwards Award. His most recent book is Blues Journey (Holiday House, 2003), illustrated by his son, Christopher. Walter Dean Myers lives in Jersey City, New Jersey.
