Author Biography

Catherine Asaro

Catherine Asaro

Award-winning writer Catherine Asaro is acclaimed for her Skolian Empire series, which combines adventure, hard science, romance and fast-paced action. Her stand-alone novel, The Quantum Rose, won the Nebula Award. She is also a three-time winner of the Romantic Times Book Club award for Best Science Fiction Novel. Her latest novel is Sunrise Alley (Baen Books, August 2004). She has a Ph.D. in chemical physics, is president of the Science Fiction and Fantasy Writers of America and lives with her family in Columbia, Maryland.
