Author Biography

Holly Black

Holly Black

Holly Black was influenced by a childhood spent reading books on ghosts and fairies. Her first book, Tithe: A Modern Faerie Tale (2002), was an American Library Association Best Book for Young Adults and a finalist for the Mythopoeic Award. She and Tony DiTerlizzi have collaborated on the best-selling series Spiderwick Chronicles which has been translated into 27 languages worldwide. The latest in the series is book five, The Wrath of the McGrath (Simon & Schuster, 2004). Ms. Black lives in West Long Branch, N.J.
