Christopher Paul Curtis

Christopher Paul Curtis

Christopher Paul Curtis worked on the assembly line at a Fisher Body plant while attending the University of Michigan, where he began to write essays and fiction. Now he is the best-selling author of Bud, Not Buddy, a winner of the Newbery Medal and the Coretta Scott King Award, and The Watsons Go to Birmingham – 1963, which was also singled out for many awards including a Newbery Honor and a Coretta Scott King Honor. His new book is Bucking the Sarge (Random House, 2004). He and his family live in Windsor, Ontario, Canada.
