Clive Cussler

Clive Cussler is acclaimed worldwide as the “Grandmaster of Adventure” with over 70 million copies of his best-selling Dirk Pitt novels in print. He was an award-winning copy writer and creative director for two of the nation’s largest advertising agencies before his first novel, introducing his continuing series hero Dirk Pitt, was published in 1973. Mr. Cussler, also a world-famous authority on shipwrecks, is the founder of the National Underwater & Marine Agency (NUMA), a non-profit organization dedicated to preserving maritime history. His NUMA Files novels have become critical and fan favorites and the most recent one is Lost City (Putnam, 2004). He divides his time between the mountains of Colorado and the deserts of Arizona.
