Harry Bliss, an award-winning cartoonist and cover artist for The New Yorker magazine, grew up in a family of successful painters and illustrators. He studied painting at the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts, and illustration at The University of the Arts (BFA) and Syracuse University (MA). He is the illustrator of several best-selling children’s books including A Fine, Fine School (2001) by Sharon Creech, Diary of a Worm (2003) and Diary of a Spider (HarperCollins, 2005), both by Doreen Cronin. Mr. Bliss lives in Vermont.
