Marcia Muller is the author of more than 35 novels including 23 featuring Sharon McCone, a San Francisco private investigator. Her most recent book, Cape Perdido (Mysterious Press, 2005), is set in fictional Soledad County. She has been recognized for her lifetime contribution to the mystery field with the 2005 Grand Master Award from the Mystery Writers of America. Her other awards include the Private Eye Writers of America Lifetime Achievement Award for her contribution to the genre; the Ridley Award, an American Mystery Award, and the Anthony Award. She lives in northern California.
