Authors Julie Sussman and Stephanie Glakas-Tenet learned their way around the toolbox and taught themselves car repair because their busy husbands were hardly ever at home. They are the authors of the best-selling Dare to Repair (HarperResource, 2002) and their more recent Dare to Repair Your Car (HarperCollins, 2005). Julie Sussman’s career has included working for two members of the U.S. Congress. She lives in Virginia.  Stephanie Glakas-Tenet’s professional experiences have included advocacy, management and fund-raising in the fields of government service, healthcare and higher education. She lives in Washington, D.C.
