Ivory Latta joined the Atlanta Dream, the WNBA’s newest franchise, in 2008. The 11th overall pick in the 2007 WNBA draft, Latta was selected by the Detroit Shock and enjoyed a strong rookie season. She entered the WNBA after a remarkable collegiate career that earned her numerous accolades, such as the 2007 Associated Press All-America and the 2006 National Player of the Year from ESPN.com. Latta is one of the most active WNBA players in her community and works with Cheer for Children, which provides gifts to needy children in her hometown of Rock Hill, South Carolina.
