Amie Parnes is The Hill’s White House correspondent, and Jonathan Allen is former White House bureau chief for Politico and current Washington bureau chief for Bloomberg News. These two D.C. journalists came together to co-write the New York Times best-selling “HRC: State Secrets and the Rebirth of Hillary Clinton” (Crown/Random House), a biography that chronicles Hillary Clinton’s political revival after her surprising defeat in the 2008 Democratic primary. Their research involved extensive interviews with her aides and advisers, and an in-depth interview with Clinton herself. “HRC” covers her tenure at the State Department and explores the political and diplomatic strategies that led to her rise and prominence as a possible Democratic candidate on the presidential ticket for 2016. “HRC” gives readers a close look into the strongest female political force in America.
