Bob Adelman is one of the foremost photographers of the American civil rights movement. His book “King: A Photobiography of Martin Luther King Jr.” has been hailed as one of the best photographic books documenting the civil rights leader and his times. During his career, Adelson also closely allied himself with such luminaries as Samuel Beckett and Andy Warhol. His photographs of Warhol and his Factory -- the artist’s name for his studio -- are some of the best-known images of the pop artist and his coterie of assorted hangers-on, actors, musicians and filmmakers. Adelman’s new book, “Andy Warhol’s First Fifteen Minutes” (Reel Art), contains many of these iconic photographs.
