National Book Festival

A writer of nonfiction books and articles for young adults, Cynthia Levinson has publications in many well-respected children’s magazines, including Appleseeds, Calliope, Cobblestone, Highlights for Children and Odyssey. Her first book was “We’ve Got a Job: The 1963 Birmingham Children’s March,” which tells the stories of more than 3,000 children who marched to protest segregation and were arrested and jailed in Birmingham, Ala. Her latest book, with Sanford Levinson, is “Fault Lines in the Constitution: The Framers, Their Fights and the Flaws That Affect Us Today” (Peachtree).
