National Book Festival

John Farrell is a congressional correspondent for National Journal magazine and has also worked for The Denver Post and The Boston Globe. His book “Tip O'Neill and the Democratic Century” is an award-winning account of the speaker of the House and his times. Farrell’s new work, “Clarence Darrow: Attorney for the Damned” (Knopf/Vintage), is a biography of one of America’s greatest defense attorneys. The New York Times, the Los Angeles Times, the San Francisco Chronicle, the Miami Herald and The Washington Times all hailed the book.
