After Katherine Applegate graduated from college, she spent time waiting tables, typing (badly), wandering randomly from place to place and just generally wasted time. When she grew sufficiently tired of performing brain-dead work, she decided it was time to become a writer. She has lived in Texas, Florida, California, Minnesota, Illinois, North Carolina and Italy. Applegate has written more than 100 books under her own name and a variety of pseudonyms. Her new book (with husband Michael Grant) is “Eve and Adam” (Macmillan/Feiwel & Friends).
