National Book Festival

Patricia MacLachlan has written numerous critically acclaimed books for children of all ages including " Arthur, For the Very First Time ," winner of the Golden Kite Award for fiction; and "Sarah, Plain and Tall ," winner of the 1986 Newbery Medal and the subject of a popular television movie series. Her latest books are "Edward's Eyes "(Simon & Schuster, 2007) and "Fiona Loves the Night " (HarperCollins, 2007). The recipient of the National Humanities Medal, she lives in Williamsburg, Mass.
