Philippa Gregory's first novel, "Wideacre," was written as she completed her Ph.D. in 18th century literature, and it became an instant worldwide best-seller. She has gone on to publish more than 20 novels, many reflecting her knowledge of periods of history, particularly the Tudor period and the 18th century. The award-winning "The Other Boleyn Girl "(2002) was adapted for the BBC, released as a major motion picture in the United States in 2008 and immediately rose to the top of all major best-seller lists. Her latest book is "The Other Queen" (Simon & Schuster, September 2008). She lives in England.
