Sally Bedell Smith is no stranger to critically acclaimed best-selling biographies. She has written six of them, on media giant William S. Paley, on diplomat and political animal Pamela Harriman, on Bill Clinton, on Princess Diana and on the Kennedy White House. She has most recently written about “Elizabeth the Queen: The Life of a Modern Monarch” (Random House). Smith is also a contributing editor at Vanity Fair magazine and previously wrote for Time magazine and The New York Times, where she was a cultural news reporter.
