Steve Berry is the New York Times best-selling author of the Cotton Malone series featuring "The Emperor's Tomb," "The Templar Legacy" and the latest in the series, "The Jefferson Key" (Ballantine). He has sold more than 12 million books in 40 languages in 51 countries. His standalone thrillers are "The Third Secret," "The Romanov Prophecy" and "The Amber Room." Berry says his road to publishing was long and arduous, spanning 12 years and 85 rejections over five separate manuscripts.
